Bhakti Vidya Classes

Vidya or vidyā (Sanskrit: विद्या) primarily means science, learning, philosophy, knowledge, and scholarship, any knowledge whether true or false. Its root is vid (Sanskrit: विद्), which means "to reason upon", knower, finding, knowing, acquiring or understanding.

Bhakti Vidya Classes are our special classes for the most important members of our community - our children. In our classes, our goal is share with the children and teenagers, the knowledge of the ancient science of devotion - Bhakti. These children are the future leaders and we want to equip the community and the world with well rounded and spiritually inclined leaders.  Our intent is to grow the leaders of tomorrow with rational, spiritual, scientific and a balanced value system, so they can make the right decisions at opportune moments of their lives. 

This program has been successfully run for the past 5 years. All of our teachers are trained in teaching children and teenagers and engage the children in a variety of activities suitable for their age.

All classes take place on Sundays from 10:15 am - 11:15 am.

Classes:

Gopal Vidya Class – Ages 6 to 10 years - Children learn verses from Bhagavad Gita, listen to stories from our scriptures and take part in fun activities!
 

Govinda Vidya Class - Ages 11 - 15 years - Children learn how to recite verses from the Bhagavad Gita along with meaning in a vibrant and interactive fashion!
 

Gauranga Class or Youth Sanga - Ages 16 - 18 & beyond - Teenage class that focuses on how Bhagavad Gita can be applied into day to day situations that teenagers experience. These classes focus on application of philosophy.
